Kavinger Nagore Sathick was born to Abdul Gani and Hameeda Amma in the year 1937 in Thaikaal Street in Nagore. His father passed away when his mother was still conceiving him. He was brought up and nurtured by his aunt’s husband Syed Ibrahim.
He studied in Chettiar school. He had to start working at the age of eleven in Nagutha company. As he worked he had an immense desire to study the Tamil language. He became an assistant script writer for dramas like Kollaikaaran and Nalla theerppu. Again he looked for a tutor and studied poetry under Kavi A.S Alaudeen. He joined the Baith Saba and started writing his first Islamic lyric and has been writing only Islamic lyrics till to-date.
His first song was Varantharum Maanabi VaiyaththilPiranthaare Muzu mathi Olivodu Manithaa. Which was sung by all the people in the Baith Saba. He continued writing many songs hence forth. A very famous song which had great jubilee sale and had given him Gold Medal Award was Fathima vaalntha Murai UnakkuTheriyuma and some other songs were Allaahvai Naam Tozuthaal, Iru Logam Potrum Irai Thootharaam, Sonnaal Mudinthidumo, Takbeer Muzakkam etc.
All these songs gave a singer in Tamilnadu E.M.Hanifa great popularity and fame till today. He wrote more and more Islamic lyrics as he worked. He was blesseb by his father's friend Pandit Hussain and a famous poet Pulavar Abideen and Ariff Navalar. He married Aisha Nachiya in November 1957 when he was twenty years of age.
He met a prominent singer in 1987 A.Jainullabudin Faizi and started writing lyrics for the man whom he thought would carry out his songs well. A.Jainullabudin was then known as Aanmeega Isaithenral (The musical breeze of spirituality). As A.Jainullabudin Faizi was in the spiritual way, Kavinger Nagore Sathick started writing Islamic spiritual songs which was sung by A.Jainullabidin with his golden voice. The first song sung by A.Jainullabudin Faizi was Nanriyai vaiththu Unnai PugalntheneNallarul Seivaai yaa Rahmaane (I praise You with deep gratitude bless me Ya Allah) some other popular songs Yen Aasai Nenjam Theduthe Ya Rasoolallaah,
Mannar Nabi Nadanthu Senra a great hit among the women folks of Nagore and all the villages of Tanjore, and has become a Munaajaath(Prayer).
Kuthubul Majeethi yaa shaahe Meera for the past twenty five years and till today is a very famous song and transports the audience of Nagore Urus to great heights. The poet is now seventy five years old he still writing Islamic poetry for A.Jainullabudin Faizi. He has been honoured and awarded Aanmeega Kavignar award by the Muslim Jamath of Nagore. He has been invited to Singapore and Malaysia and honoured by Innerlight Moment a recording company. He completed his Umra and may we bless him with a long healthy life together with his life companion.
